Each resident and indeed their family and friends are encouraged, to the extent that they wish, to participate in the Home’s decision-making process, as well as the individual care package of the residents concerned. The Heatherfield Care Group is committed to improving the quality of it’s service provision, and the use quality assurance methods, to achieve this aim. We offer a variety of residential care home facilities in the north east, nursing and social care for the older person. We endeavour to provide services and facilities conducive to the individual needs in a sensitive manner.

Specialist Care Services

Some Homes within the Heatherfield Care Group also provide specialist care services such as for those with Huntington’s disease, Cerebral Palsy etc. We provide specialist equipment and facilities to facilitate their well-being, as well as ensuring that we have dedicated staff that are suitably trained to meet their particular needs, and assist them in living as full a life as possible. An essential part of any care package is the diet; we employ qualified chefs who offers advice and assistance to our other cooks, and we liaise with Dieticians and Speech Therapists in the assessment and treatment of those with swallowing difficulties, and special diets. We also welcome the involvement of the residents in the selection of meals, and through the assessment process take into account their individual preferences and particular dietary requirements.
